Incident description: The victim, who is not affiliated with the university, was approached by the suspect while waiting at a bus stop. The suspect demanded money from the victim and threatened to hit him with a skateboard. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled southbound on Figueroa Street.

Location: Off campus near 30th Street and Figueroa Street
Incident resolution: DPS officers responded to the area and detained a suspect. The suspect was identified by the victim as the person who had attempted to rob him. The suspect was arrested by DPS officers and was transported to the Los Angeles Police Department for booking on charges of attempted robbery.
