Robbery Suspect Arrested

On August 30, 2018, at approximately 3:30 PM, two USC students were inside the 76 gas station located at Vermont Avenue and Adams Boulevard when they were confronted by a suspect.  The suspect threatened one of the students and demanded the student’s wallet.  No weapons were seen and there were no injuries.   The suspect took the students wallet, then ran to the rear door and exited the building.  The suspect entered the back seat of a vehicle that was in the car wash and sped away from the location.

Disposition:

On August 30, 2018, at approximately 5:30 PM, after collaboration with DPS, a suspect was detained by LAPD officers in East Los Angeles.  The suspect was positively identified by the victim and witnesses and was subsequently arrested.  The suspect remains in the custody of the LAPD.
