Leslie Ramirez

Leslie Ramirez began her career with Los Angeles School Police Department in 1991, and she has achieved 31 years of experience in law enforcement focusing on safety and education.  She held various ranks before moving into a leadership role in 2014.  In 2019 Ramirez was appointed as Chief of Police for the Los Angeles School Police Department, the 2nd largest school district in the nation.

Ramirez grew up in Los Angeles and is a graduate of LA Unified. She is a graduate of the University of La Verne with a major in Organizational Management.

Ramirez enjoys participating in student-centered programs and frequently gives her time and support to student advisory groups, community outreach events, and Special Olympics programs.

She is currently a member of the Peace Officer Association of Los Angeles County, the California Police Chiefs, and California College and University Police Chiefs Associations.
