USC Faculty and Staff Access and Visitor Registration Guidelines for University Park Campus (UPC)
2024 Commencement Activities May 7-11, 2024
If you are accessing the University Park Campus (UPC) this week, please carefully read the following guidance. If you are not sure whether you need to access campus or off-campus commencement events during the commencement period, please check in with your supervisor or department leadership, prior to May 9.
May 7-8 Vehicle Access Limited to two entrance points, available 24/7McCarthy Way entrance McClintock Ave entrance Parking structures All parking structures open Downey and Royal structures accessed via McClintock Ave entrance
Pedestrian Access Limited to two exterior entrance points, available 24/7McCarthy Way entrance McClintock Ave entrance Limited to three interior perimeter access points McCarthy Way entrance Watt Way and 34th Street McClintock Ave and Childs Way
ID Requirements/ Guest Registration All faculty and staff must show valid USC ID (USCard ID will be scanned at the entry location). Guests MUST be pre-registered and show the QR code downloaded from visitor.usc.edu. Guests must show government-issued ID.May 8 – LAST DAY for guest registrations.
Bag checks are required at all checkpoints

ID Requirements All faculty and staff must show valid USC ID (USCard ID will be scanned at the entry location. Guest registration is closed. Exceptions can be requested by email. Pre-registered guests must show the QR code downloaded from visitor.usc.edu. A government-issued ID is also required. Bag checks are required at all checkpoints
May 10 Vehicle Access Off-campus structures are highly recommended: USC Shrine, Figueroa, Flower, and Grand structures. Parking at McCarthy and Royal structures is not available. Permit holders for these locations will receive an email from USC Transportation with alternative parking. McClintock and McCarthy entrances closed. Watt Way entrance only open to those with permitted parking in the Downey Way structure.

Or bring your regular work bag/equipment and have your bag checked by security. Metal detector clearance required for all campus access. Faculty and staff attending commencement events at the Shrine, Galen Center, Village Great Lawn, or Coliseum are required to have tickets. These tickets will be distributed by your school’s commencement coordinator. May 11 Vehicle Access Limited to two entrance points Jefferson entrance (6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) McClintock Ave entrance (24/7) Parking will be available on-campus at Downey, Jefferson, and Royal structures or off-campus at USC Shrine, Figueroa, Flower, and Grand structures.
Pedestrian Access Commencement event participants must enter the McCarthy Way entrance. Access to campus east of McCarthy Quad must be made via the McClintock Ave entrance and through the interior perimeter at Watt Way and 34th Street or McClintock Ave and Childs Way.
