Self-defense Classes

The Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD) teaches men and women realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. The program’s focus is two-fold: to teach techniques to recognize and reduce risk and increase awareness in potentially dangerous situations and to provide you with hands-on defense training. RAD training is a hands-on physical defense class (not martial arts) that requires 12 hours of instruction to receive a certificate of completion.

The RAD System of Physical Defense is taught at many colleges and universities. The RAD philosophy centers on ease, simplicity and effectiveness. The program is dedicated to teaching men, women, and children defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assaults by utilizing simple and proven successful self-defense tactics. Men and women classes are taught separately.

Partially funded by the USC Good Neighbors Campaign Grant Program, RAD training is FREE to students, faculty, staff, and community members.  All you need to do is register.
