Residential Burglary (Update)

DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:  The victim was inside her apartment when she observed the suspect coming out of the bedroom closet, armed with a pocket-knife. The suspect fled with the victim’s cell phone.  DPS, along with LAPD officers, cordoned off and conducted a search of the entire building. The suspect was not found.

DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE:  July 20, 2020, 4:03 p.m.

LOCATION: University Gateway Apartments, 3335 S. Figueroa St. (off-campus)

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:  Male, Black, approximately 20-25 years, blue and gray wind breaker, dark pants.  

Additional suspect information: Victim later reported that the suspect had a thin, faded tattoo across his forehead, another tattoo under both his right and left eye, and possibly wearing a Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATCC) nametag with the name “Ramon”.

SUSPECT VEHICLE: No vehicle was seen.
