Incident:          Sexual Battery-Suspect in Custody
Date/Time:      Oct. 1, 2020, at approximately 10 p.m.
Location:         530 West 27th St. (off-campus)

Description of Incident:
The suspect followed the victim and three of her classmates into their apartment complex. The suspect then followed the group on to the elevator. When they got off the elevator, he followed them toward the victim’s apartment. When the victim and her friends refused to allow him inside the apartment, he fondled the victim. The victim and her friends locked themselves inside the apartment and called DPS. 

Disposition:
DPS officers responded and detained the suspect outside the apartment building. The victim and witnesses all positively identified the suspect. The suspect subsequently was arrested and transported to the Los Angeles Police Department for investigation of sexual battery.
